The Savaria Luma Homelift

A beautiful and compact through-floor lift for your home

Put an end to worry about using the stairsTravel two levels in your home – safely and in style – with the Savaria Luma Home lift.  Finely finished with a luxury feel and panoramic views, the Luma lift is remarkably easy to install thanks to its self-supporting design. Built to meet or exceed all UK safety standards, the Luma lift features a fully enclosed acrylic cabin with automatic lighting and active ventilation. It’s a space-saving, elegant lift that is a great alternative to a stairlift.

Why choose a Savaria Luma Lift

A gorgeous self-supporting through-floor lift

Made by global leader Savaria, the Luma lift is designed with many thoughtful details to make aging-in-place more comfortable, safe and without compromise on aesthetics. You might be concerned about using stairs today or in the future, yeyou don’t want a stairlift? The Luma lift might be the perfect solution.

Elegant design

The fully enclosed lift has a luxury and spacious feel thanks to its crystal-clear acrylic panels, soft recessed lighting and neutral white finish. Designed with safety and good looks in mind, every single detail has been considered. All cables and cords are hidden, and the cabin features attractive non-skid flooring.

The Luma lift needs a floor cut-out of only 118 cm by 97 cm and because the lift is self-supporting, it is flexible for placement in your home. Tuck it into a corner, near a wall, or where it suits your needs. There is no shaftway needed for the Luma lift, just a floor cut-out.

Thanks to its battery operation, the Luma lift is inexpensive to run and will always be ready to go – even if you have a power cut. It charges automatically via standard household power, like a typical home appliance, so you never need to worry. It can even travel both up and down for as many as five trips during an outage.

The Luma lift is designed for you to travel safely with ultimate peace of mind. From One Touch Alert two-way voice communication so you can call someone from the lift if needed, to an emergency stop button and sensor system that stops the lift should it meet any obstruction, the Luma also has sloped low-level access via a full-sized door, reducing trip hazards.

Not only does the Luma lift offer a smooth and comfortable ride thanks to its soft start and stop technology, the Luma lift runs quietly thanks to its reliable winding drum drive system.

The Luma lift’s modern design reduces installation complexity.  Site preparation for the Luma lift requires a floor cut-out, floor bracing and nearby power supply. We manage this with our contractors. From there, installation typically takes one to two days.

You can also order the Luma lift with a second door. This provides access straight-through the cabin to accommodate your floorplan.  The Luma lift can be ordered with a shorter cabin if your ceiling height is restricted.

A few answers

Here are some answers to common questions we get about the Luma Homelift. We’d also be happy to answer your questions on the phone.

Installed Luma homelift
What is the Luma Homelift?

The Luma Homelift is a modern, fully enclosed, through-floor lift designed for use inside the home. The two-stop lift carries up to 180 kg. Unlike traditional home elevators, the Luma lift is a self-supporting structure and doesn’t travel within a lift shaft, so installation is simple and tidy. The lift travels through a neat floor cut-out and no major structural work in your home is needed.

Wheelchairs generally require more space than the cabin in the Luma homelift provides. However, the Luma can accommodate many smaller mobility aids such as walking frames, wheeled walkers and walking sticks, so you have access to these whether you’re upstairs or downstairs.

The Luma Homelift starts at £16,895. It comes with a standard 2000 mm cabin, or you can choose an optional shorter 1,905 mm cabin. The price covermanufacture, delivery, professional installation and a 12-month warranty should you need any support with your lift once it’s in your home.

You can buy the Luma Homelift directly from Savaria. We manage installations across the UK and would be happy to help with your order or suggest other suitable mobility products from our portfolio. The Luma through floor lift can also be purchased through select trade partners in the UK. To find out more, call 0808 304 4300.
